Cornelius Althammer, drummer for Germany's doom lords AHAB, has launched a series of short band-related anecdotes. His first installment is available below:

"The one that introduced me to Ahab:

In 2005, Daniel (Droste/vocals, guitars) gave me a burned copy of the first Ahab demo on an open air festival. Back home, having about 35 degrees in the living room, I listened to it. 'The Hunt' absolutely grabbed me. No chance to move, just being tied to the seat I could not believe what I heard. Well, I had to be in that band, that was for sure..."

An Ahab fan has created a video clip for the band's song 'Further South', which the band has deemed "exquisite" by Ahab's members. The clip features footage shot by said fan, blacksheep665, including whales in Alaska.

'Further South' is taken from Ahab's 2012 album, The Giant.

Ahab released their latest album, The Giant, on May 25th, 2012 via Napalm Records. The tracklisting is as follows:

‘Further South’

‘Aeons Elapse’

‘Deliverance (Shouting At The Dead)’

‘Antarctica The Polymorphess’

‘Fathoms Deep Below’

‘The Giant’

Digipak And Vinyl Bonus Track: ‘Time's Like Molten Lead’

Vinyl-Only Bonus Track: ‘Evening Star’

The song 'Deliverance (Shouting At The Dead)' is now available for streaming below. More on Ahab at this location.
