German funeral doomsters Ahab performed at Summer Breeze 2014 in Dinkelsbühl, Germany in August. The clip below features the band performing "Nickerson´s Theme" from their second album, The Divinity Of Oceans:
Ahab have officially renewed their contract with Napalm Records. The label has thus far released three Ahab albums, The Call Of The Wretched Sea (2006), The Divinity Of Oceans (2009), and The Giant (2012).
Napalm A&R; manager Sebastian Münch has issued the following statement:
"We feel absolutely happy, proud and extremely doomed to announce Ahab have renewed their partnership with Napalm Records! Ahab is arguably one of the most unique and orginal bands within the Napalm band roster! Everytime I listen to Ahab I feel I am getting sucked into the depth of an endless stormy ocean, and I have to admit I quite enjoy that feeling!"In 2013, an Ahab fan created a video clip for the band's song 'Further South', which the band has deemed "exquisite". The clip features footage shot by said fan, blacksheep665, including whales in Alaska. 'Further South' is taken from Ahab's 2012 album, The Giant.
