BW&BK;'s Aaron Small spoke to hard rock legend ALICE COOPER recently for a feature found in BW&BK; Magazine #113 - available now. Former GUNS N' ROSES and current VELVET REVOLVER guitarist Slash appears on Cooper's new album, Along Came A Spider, and laid down a killer solo on ‘Vengeance Is Mine’.

"He’s a ‘70s guitar player," says the shock-rocker about having Slash on board. "That’s what I like about him. Guns N’ Roses were very ‘70s. They kind of aped that sound. They loved all those bands from the ‘70s and they ended up being that. When I want to use a guitar player, I don’t think of YNGWIE (MALMSTEEN). I’m not crazy about the whole hammering thing. I think it has its place in the world, but usually not in my stuff. I would much rather hear a guitar player who plays in the middle of the fret board like Slash or Joe Perry (AEROSMITH), somebody who’s just a rock guitar player. That’s probably why the two guitar players in my band (Keri Kelli and Jason Hook) have both played with Slash.”
