ANGRA To Replace New MEGADETH Guitarist KIKO LOUREIRO – “He’s Worked His Way Into Something Bigger”

In a new interview with Revolver, Angra guitarist and co-founder Rafael Bittencourt revealed that the band will have find a replacement for new Megadeth guitarist Kiko Loureiro.

Bittencourt states about Loureiro: “As a brother-in-life and friend, we're proud of/for him. I think he's worked his way into something bigger from the beginning. He deserves it. He earned it with his hard work."

He continued: "At this moment, heis managing to finish the Secret Garden world tour with us, coupled with the first touring with Megadeth. Soon, that won't be possible, so he will be taking Megadeth as a priority, most probably as his exclusive band. So, since we won't be able to count on having him with us very soon, the solution will be to find a substitute for him."

Mustaine took part in a special online chat at the Megadeth Cyber Army chat room on July 27th. During the chat, he revealed the tracklisting for the band’s upcoming album.

Tentatively due in late-2015 or early-2016, the yet-to-be-titled album was produced by Mustaine and Toby Wright (Alice In Chains, Korn). Tracks on the release will include:

“Death From Within”
“Fatal Illusion”
“Conquer... Or Die!”
“Lying In State”
“Me Hate You”
“The Emperor's New Clothes”
“Dystopia”
“Bullet To The Brain”
“Last Dying Wish”
“Post American World”
“Look Who's Talking”
“The Threat Is Real”
“Poisonous Shadows”

Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine says: “Having just finished an amazing record full of high-energy heavy metal with Chris Adler, Kiko Loureiro and David Ellefson, I am excited to announce this tour and see all of the metal fans come out for this one. I literally can’t wait to hit the stage again!”

Mark Morton from Lamb Of God adds: “I have to say that it’s definitely exciting to be announcing this one! I’m more than pleased to let the world know that Lamb Of God will be sharing the bill with thrash metal legends, Megadeth, for five shows in the UK and Ireland, from November 9th-15th! It’s been almost a decade since we’ve had the opportunity to tour with Megadeth, and we’re absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with them once again for these very special UK dates. Also appearing will be our good friends and long time co-conspirators Children Of Bodom and Sylosis. This lineup is unstoppable! If you’re not stoked about this bill, then you very simply do not like heavy metal! Take a plane, take a boat, hitch a ride, take the tube, bring your Wellies…see you there!”

Support comes from Children Of Bodom and Sylosis.
