Annihilator guitarist Jeff Waters has checked in with the following message for guitar fans:

"Go to the time: 1:02:30 and have a listen. Now, I know Yngwie gets a good rap as one of the best-ever lead guitar players and a bad rap as to being a 'one-trick-pony', but, aside from the insanely talented classically-oriented shred soloing, the man is one incredible Blues player; he just doesn't show us much of that side, but here we get a glimpse. Go to the time: 1:02:30 and have a listen. So much feel and you can tell he is having trouble holding back from going faster!"

Technically speaking, Yngwie Malmsteen is considered among the greatest guitar players in the world, and during the Guitar Gods tour he revealed his secret to his success. Check out the Artisan News video report below:

Malmsteen - currently on the Guitar Gods tour with Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal of Guns N' Roses, and Gary Hoey - was recently interviewed by Guitar World, during which he revealed, "I like to challenge myself by not playing the same thing."

Malmsteen was also put to the ultimate test - Jimmy Page or Jimi Hendrix? And Eddie Van Halen or Randy Rhoads?

Remaining dates on the Guitar Gods Tour include:

July

7 - House Of Blues – Las Vegas, NV
8 - Rialto Theatre - Tucson, AZ
10 - House Of Blues – Dallas, TX
12 - House Of Blues – Houston, TX

In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, it is revealed that Swedish guitar hero Yngwie Malmsteen will release a live DVD and CD in August, recorded in Orlando and Tampa.
