ANVIL - Metal On Metal Turns 30
April 15, 2012, 12 years ago
30 years ago today (April 15, 1982) Canadian legends ANVIL released their second studio album Metal On Metal recorded by Chris Tsangarides (JUDAS PRIEST, THIN LIZZY) at Phase One Studios in Toronto, Ontario. Not only did the album change the face of Canadian metal, it's power resonated around the world with molten metal tracks such as 'Mothra', '666', the instrumental 'March Of The Crabs' and the anthemic title track which was featured on the November 14th, 2010 episode of The Simpsons titled Lisa Simpson, This Isn't Your Life.
Since it's release, Anvil has recorded 12 studio albums, one live album, and two greatest hits compilations. Anvil is ready to hit the road again in 2012.
