hot flashes news thy art is murder

Distort has announced the addition of Sydney-based extreme metal outfit THY ART IS MURDER to it’s growing roster of artists. Thy Art Is Murder’s sophomore album, Hate, will be released in Canada through Distort on January 22nd, 2013. Since their 2006 inception, the five-piece made up of Lee Stanton (drums), CJ McMahon (vocals), Tom Brown (guitar), Andy Marsh (guitar), and Sean Delander (bass), have carved a trail of bloody mayhem across the globe. With acclaimed EP Infinite Death and debut album The Adversary in tow, Thy Art Is Murder have traversed the highways of Australia and autobahns of the UK and Europe, slaying audiences in every dim lit venue of every town game enough to let them in.
Produced by Will Putney (LAMB OF GOD, EVERY TIME I DIE), Hate is the pointed result of Thy Art Is Murder’s growing dissatisfaction with all aspects of modern life – political, religious, social and environmental. Fusing the blasting technicality of metal luminaries THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER with thunderous breakdowns and the intensity born of their nascent hometown scene; the blackened grandeur of BEHEMOTH and the pit churning groove of Tampa originators MORBID ANGEL and CANNIBAL CORPSE, the furious musical arrangements provide a bloody canvas for vocalist CJ McMahon’s outpourings of bile. A Canadian tour in support of Hate is currently in the works. Dates will be announced in early 2013.
Hate tracklisting: 'Reign of Darkness' 'The Purest Strain Of Hate' 'Vile Creations' 'Shadow Of Eternal Sin' 'Immolation' 'Infinite Forms' 'Dead Sun' 'Gates Of Misery' 'Detective Breed' 'Doomed From Birth' The video for 'Reign Of Darkness' can be seen below: More on Thy Art Is Murder at this location.
