British metal gods JUDAS PRIEST were guests on The Simpsons on Sunday, January 5th. Fans of the band who were enraged that Judas Priest were referred to as "death metal" must certainly feel satiated today, after last night's (January 12th) new episode saw Bart Simpson scrawling "Judas Priest is not death metal" in the opening blackboard sequence.
The episode featuring Judas Priest dealt with the topic of movie piracy. Homer gets arrested after downloading movies illegally and finds refuge at the Swedish consulate in the US, where his daughter Lisa explains that the "people of Sweden feel that all movies should be shared freely."
The FBI finally find Homer and his family and proclaim: "There's only one way to get fugitives out of a foreign building and that's blasting death metal!"
Judas Priest are then seen playing 'Breaking The Law' with Rob Halford "tweaking" the lyrics by repeating "respecting the law … copyright law!"
The head of the Swedish consulate adds: "Swedes love death metal … it reminds us of death."
