BEHEMOTH Announce Australian Tour Dates; WATAIN And BÖLZER Confirmed As Support

Polish metal heathens Behemoth have issued a message to their Australian legion of fans:
"Black masses, congregate and lay witness to the blasphemous writings and aural rituals of The Satanist Australia. A unique gathering and combination of the works of the respected masters of the dark crafts. Which affiliated together, has never before been presented to, or observed by Australian audiences."The band's upcoming Australian tour will feature Watain and Bölzer as support. Behemoth recently launched their official beer, dubbed Sacrum. In the new documentary footage below, the band visit the Perun Brewery, where the Belgian IPA-style ale is produced.
Behemoth recently joined forces with director Zev Deans to compose the video for "Messe Noire" from The Satanist. The video can now be seen below.
On behalf of director Zev Deans and Behemoth, this work is dedicated to the life and memory of H.R. Giger (1940-2014) who was part of the special effects team that won an Academy Award for Best Achievement In Visual Effects for their work in Alien and album artwork forth likes of Celtic Frost (To Mega Therion), Carcass (Heartwork), Emerson, Lake & Palmer (Brain Salad Surgery), Danzig (Danzig III: How the Gods Kill) and Triptykon (Eparistera Daimones and Melana Chasmata).
Zev Deans, the Brooklyn based director, brings a visually dark and surreal atmosphere to a song and album that is one of Behemoth's most bleak. To add to the atmosphere, costumes were provided by amazing extreme fashion designer, Sharon Toxic. The combination of these visual and auditory talents could not be more ideal.
Zev Deans states: "The story of Lucifer's fall, followed by his defiant rebirth, reminds me of Nergal's own personal struggles of recent years. Like Lucifer, Behemoth has recovered from hardship, and they are stronger than ever. With "Messe Noire", I was lucky enough to work with some of the most talented people in the genre. I owe the success of this project to the intense SACRIFICE that Sharon and the rest of team gave to this work."
Behemoth frontman Nergal comments: "It was actually our drummer Inferno's idea to work with Zev Deans. He showed me “Portal” video that literally blew my fuckin' mind! For a long time we've attempted to reach a new ground and artistically leave the comfort zone. The Satanist is THE record that challenges us on so many levels… and here we are, exploring new grounds with a video producer who is a genuine visionary! "Messe Noire" video surely adds new quality to our art and makes it even more transcendental… I am proud!"

Behemoth's The Satanist was released in February of 2014 to overwhelming praise from fans. The album debuted at #1 in Poland, and at #34 on the Billboard Top 200 charts in the US, 21 spots higher than their previous album, Evangelion.
