British Psychedelic Legends THE ZOMBIES Sign With The End Records; New Album Due In October, Tour Dates Announced

Having returned to the studio in early 2015 to begin work on a new album - only taking breaks to debut new songs live during a triumphant return to SXSW, a Yahoo! Screen Live broadcast from House of Blues New Orleans, and their first appearances at the UK’s Great Escape and Glastonbury Festivals, iconic British psychedelic-pop legends, The Zombies are back.

Aptly titled, Still Got That Hunger, the new album, produced by Chris Potter (The Verve Urban Hymns, Rolling Stones Steel Wheels) is scheduled for digital and physical release October 9th via The End Records/ADA.

“We're really excited to be signing our new album to The End Records - it somehow seems fitting that it should be released on a Brooklyn based label, as our very first American concerts way back in 1964 took place at The Brooklyn Fox Theatre!” - Rod Argent

The past three years have marked a major resurgence for the band, with two UK and five US tours including stops at SXSW in Austin, NYC’s Central Park SummerStage, an appearance on Austin City Limits, the American release of Breathe Out, Breathe In (the group’s fifth studio album released in 2011) and the announcement of their first nomination to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015, The Zombies make another mark in the US history books with the first time live performance of their 1968 masterpiece Odessey & Oracle.

For the first time ever, the group will bring Odessey & Oracle to American stages. All four surviving original members will recreate the seminal album in its entirety with full instrumentation. Founding and current members, vocalist Colin Blunstone and keyboardist Rod Argent, will be joined by original bassist/co-songwriter Chris White and drummer Hugh Grundy for their first American tour together in five decades. The show will also feature the acclaimed current Zombies’ line-up featuring bassist Jim Rodford (formerly of Argent and The Kinks), Rodford’s son Steve Rodford on drums, and renowned session guitarist Tom Toomey, performing material from their forthcoming studio album.
