August 23, 2016, 8 years ago
Puerto Rico-based thrashers, Calamity, will enter the studio in the upcoming weeks to record their new single, "End Of The Road". The track will be produced by Ramon Ortiz (Puya/Ankla/ Ortiz) and engineered by Francisco Barreras who previously worked on the band's first studio album, Imminent Disaster.
"I'm happy to announce I will be entering Mystic Red studios very soon with the boys from Calamity to produce their new single,” says Ramon Ortiz. "Ever since Cardinal Sin I had not heard such an exciting and dynamic thrash metal from my hometown Puerto Rico. The idea with this is to come out with a totally devastating track and production to position Calamity as a force to be reckoned with in the global metal market. They have what it takes and I'll be honoured to help them in this part of their journey towards world domination."
Details about the release date and format will be revealed soon.
Calamity also announces their first participation on the NYDM 2017 Milwaukee Spring Bash next April, they will share stage with acts like Attacker, Omen, Solstice Impaler and Satan's Host among others. Check out a flyer below:
