CANNIBAL CORPSE Bassist Alex Webster Discusses Upcoming Debut In India, Winter Tour With BEHEMOTH And More; Audio Interview Streaming

Gearing up for their debut gig in India, Metal Wani's editor in chief Owais ‘Vitek’ Nabi recently had a chat with founding member and prolific bassist of Cannibal Corpse, Alex Webster, as he discussed the upcoming debut gig at CultFest, upcoming Winter tour with Behemoth, how they still manage to tour for longer duration, bands legacy, possible solo album, new Blotted Science album, possible new Conquering Dystopia album, possible Obituary and Cannibal Corpse tour , his opinion on Slipknot guitarist Jim Root claiming they didn't earn money by selling albums, his opinion on Gene Simmons comment "rock Is dead" and much more.

Bengaluru-based live entertainment firm Bohemian Live, the company behind the new multi genre experiential music festival CultFest, have announced the headliners for their April 2015 edition. The inaugural edition, featuring the metal music genre, will be headlined by Cannibal Corpse and deathcore stalwarts Suicide Silence.

Says organizers: "Everyone is more than aware of who Cannibal Corpse is and what kind of high caliber death metal they put out. Like them or not, they’re easily the most successful death metal band in the history of the genre. Now thirteen studio full lengths deep, Cannibal shows no sign of slowing down. Cannibal Corpse have really cornered the market on their particular sound and the band deserves a lot of credit for being able to consistently put out heavier and heavier material, with A Skeletal Domain being the heaviest effort yet. They always find a way to add some extra meat to the guitar tone and more brutality to the vocals. On the other hand, Suicide Silence, one of the leaders of the extreme modern metal movement needs no introduction. With a new album You Can’t Stop Me, their first release since Mitch Lucker’s tragic death in 2012, the band will play in India for the first time.

This single day open air event will see the much awaited debut of both these globally acclaimed US based bands in India. The headliners, known for their powerful, tight and stellar live performances will be playing extensive sets for the Indian fans. India is known to have a huge fan base of Cannibal Corpse and Suicide Silence and hence the festival will see a good balance of old school metal and the modern wave of metal."

The event will be held in Bengaluru, India on April 11th (Saturday) and will feature three more opening bands from India, to be announced shortly. Venue to be announced very soon.

The company has released very limited and affordable early birds tickets at 1350 INR exclusively on BookMyShow. After the early birds are sold out, tickets will be priced at 1850 INR henceforth. Promo video:
