CARL DIXON - "The Power Of April Wine's Music Still Awes Me" "Started the day in Toronto at the Ontario Library Association Super Conference at MTCC. There was I in good dewey decimal order... signing books and meeting librarians from around the Province," writes Carl Dixon in his latest blog titled, What A Day!

"Many of them seemed most interested in the April Wine part of my story. The power of that band's music still awes me. Thanks to the good folk at Dundurn Press all went well. The autograph line reminded me of the fans after one of my big rock shows. Looked outside the MTCC and saw the snowstorm approaching... dashed to Haliburton as quickly as snowplows and nervous drivers would allow."

Carl Dixon's autobiography Strange Way To Live, published by Dundurn Press, is now available in book stores and online through Amazon and Indigo. Below is the 90 second promo encapsulating Carl's life (with The Guess Who, April Wine, Coney Hatch), his horrific car crash and miraculous survival and recovery.

While fronting one of Canada's biggest bands, Carl Dixon's life was blindsided by a catastrophic car crash in Australia. Not expected to live and with 50 injuries today, Carl is a walking, rocking miracle with titanium implants and a glass eye. He reunited with '80s band Coney Hatch to release a stunning album voted into the UK's top 50 rock albums of 2013. Carl now tours as a motivational speaker to corporations about safety and teamwork. He tours as a musician and is working on a country album, Whole 'Nother Thing. This video is for the launch of Carl's autobiography, Strange Way To Live - A Story Of Rock N' Roll Resurrection.
