CHRIS CAFFERY Recalls Headlining Madison Square Garden With TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA For The First Time - "I Stood There And Cried"
December 1, 2014, 9 years ago
Guitarist Chris Caffery (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage) is featured in a new interview with NorthJersey.com. An excerpt is available below:
Q: What are some of your favorite TSO memories?
Caffery: "Headlining Madison Square Garden for the first time in 2004 has to be one of the biggest. I remember going home to my house in Astoria, Queens, the day we played. Paul O'Neill insisted that I didn't because he was worried about me traveling on a show day, but I really wanted to get home. I snuck home and took the subway back to the Garden. I walked off the train with a ton of fans who had no idea I was there, hidden in a ski hat. I looked at the huge marquee and it flashed, 'Tonight Trans-Siberian Orchestra Sold Out.' I stood there and cried. You dream of things in life and playing Madison Square Garden was one of if not my biggest dream."
