Confirmed: STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Fire SCOTT WEILAND

Los Angeles, CA-based rockers STONE TEMPLE PILOTS have announced that they have officially terminated singer SCOTT WEILAND. Expect statements from both the band and Weiland to surface over the coming days.
Back in December, SLASH was interviewed by Minneapolis/St. Paul Radio Station 93X. During their chat, the topic of former VELVET REVOLVER vocalist Scott Weiland publicly hinting that it's time for the band to reunite surfaced. According to the former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist, “That’s because he got fired from STP (STONE TEMPLE PILOTS).”
Slash admits Weiland’s comments about Velvet Revolver usually surprise him. Elaborating further he stated, “I always find out about it through the media and I’m on the road in another country and I start hearing all this stuff and then I inquire within, and that’s what I was told.”
