CONFLUX – Former And Current Members Of CATTLE DECAPITATION, CRYPTOPSY, DECREPIT BIRTH Join Forces In New Death Metal Project

Helmed by guitarist/songwriter Chase Fraser (Continuum, ex-Animosity, Decrepit Birth) and drummer Tommy Mckinnon (Akurion/Neuraxis), Conflux is a new collaborative death metal project bent on both pushing the bounds of creativity within the genre and the culminating of ideas with other artists in the community.

A sample from the debut EP The Inception is streaming below:

A full track will be premiered Monday, April 4th.

“From the start we wanted to include contributions from other members. Then we got the idea of making it a sort of club where all the members can contribute their original ideas, voices and tone, and individual expression,” commented Tommy Mckinnonon the synergetic nature of the project. “Associations like this in Metal are somewhat rare, but they're even rarer in death metal.”

Chase Fraser adds, "The Conflux collective is definitely an ambitious experiment and we couldn't be happier with the results so far. We're looking forward to sharing what we've been working on and can't wait to record the full length later this year."

The Conflux collective is:
Chase Fraser (Continuum, ex-Animosity, Decrepit Birth)
Tommy Mckinnon (Akurion/Neuraxis)
Mike DiSalvo (Akurion/ex-Cryptopsy)
Derek Engmann (Cattle Decapitation)
Elliot Desgagnes (Beneath The Massacre)
Eran Segal (ex-Aborted)
Matt Mcgachy (Cryptopsy)
Hugo Doyon Karout (Beyond Creation)

The Inception was mixed and mastered by Chris Bradley (Beneath The Massacre) and Stefano Morabito and will be released in digital and physical formats on May 3rd.

Conflux will make its live debut tonight at the Foufounes Electric in Montreal opening for Beyond Creation, Gorod and Bookakee with limited physical copies of The Inception being made available for purchase at the show.
