In the latest episode (#87) of his official podcast, Danko Jones speaks with Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick. They discuss Skolnick's monumental world music project Planetary Coaltion, Kiran Ahluwalia, Shakti, Rodrigo y Gabriela, his Louder Education show, and Testament:
Toronto trio Danko Jones has announced the next chapter in their history – 11 brand new tracks that comprise the album Fire Music, set for release on February 10th, 2015 as digipack CD and vinyl LP. The record is produced and mixed by Juno Award winning producer Eric Ratz (Billy Talent, Monster Truck, Cancer Bats).
The band has checked in with the following update:
"We're very happy to announce that we will play at a Visions Party at FZW Club in Dortmund on the German release day of our new album Fire Music on February 6th.
In combination with that we will also play two smaller release partys in Hamburg and Berlin on February 7th and 9th, with a very limited amount of tickets for sale. Tickets will be up for sale starting this Friday (November 21st).

According to a press release, Fire Music is an album that burns at both ends, showcasing Danko Jones at their most energetic and eclectic. Look forward to some of the most incendiary, fierce, and downright pissed-off songs Danko Jones has ever committed to tape. Imagine a greatest-hits career retrospective made up of all-new material, delivering blasts from the past but blazing trails into the future. “I got a date with dynamite,” Danko sang back in 1996 by way of introduction, “if you got the guts, well, light my match.” On Fire Music, that offer still stands.
