On tour to mark the 25th anniversary of his solo album of the same name, DANZIG, with special guest and former MISFITS bandmate Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, has revealed that the upcoming August 30th date at Universal City, California's Universal Amphithetre (currently Gibson Amphitheatre) will be the last time fans will be able to see a Danzig show in this incredible and historic venue as it is closing its doors not long after, rumor has it, to make way for a Harry Potter Attraction.

An update from Danzig states: "Wanted to add someone special to the final Danzig show at this historic venue and contacted someone who had helped me out on my forthcoming covers album. Of course that someone is CHERIE CURRIE, who sings with me on my version of the classic LEE HAZELWOOD/NANCY SINATRA song, 'Some Velvet Morning'. Not only did she say yes, but she told me she had always dreamed of performing on that stage as her first concert experience at 14 was there for DAVID BOWIE's Diamond Dogs Tour. She revealed it was that show that started her on her musical quest and is excited to be able to come full circle and perform there before it is gone forever. Yep... gonna give this classic and historic venue the send-off it truly deserves. LA we'll see you there!!!"
