According to an update from Ultimate-Guitar.com, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says that prior to departure of guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover from the band, the two musicians were quite frustrated by the fact that many fans demanded classic 'Deth reunion featuring guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick Menza.

Mustaine: "When Chris and Shawn left, it saddened me a little because they didn't say goodbye. They were pissed because they'd gotten word that people wanted the Rust in Peace reunion. And frankly, I didn't; I was happy with those two guys. So when they left, it was like, 'It isn't going to be easy to replace them!'"

Megadeth hit the stage with their new lineup for the first time at the Festival D'été De Québec in Quebec City on July 18th, featuring mainstays Dave Mustaine (vocals, guitars) and David Ellefson (bass), and now including Kiko Loureiro (guitars/Angra) and Chris Alder (drums/Lamb Of God). Megadeth and Lamb Of God are joining forces for a full UK & Eire co-headline tour in November 2015. The tour will coincide with the release, later this year, of Megadeth’s 15th Studio album through Tradecraft / Universal. Lamb of God’s new album VII: Sturm und Drang will be released July 24th via Epic Records in North America and Nuclear Blast Entertainment throughout the rest of the world.
