DESTRUCTION Drummer Recaps Mexico Tour - "Meet Concert Promoters That Carry Guns, Get Robbed By One Of Them, Get Pulled Over Twice By The Police That Want Your Money..."

German thrashers Destruction have completed a problem-plagued tour of Mexico, which included poor to no security measures at some of the venues, crooked promoters, and stolen gear. The band has checked in with the following update:

"The Mexican fans gave the band a fantastic welcome for their first time in the city of Leon! The promoter in Chihuahua greeted us with a warm salute and a very co-operative and professional handling. He made clear that the problems of the last days were an exception.

We had amazing support from the fans on all Mexican shows and we all know that the horrible incedent isn t reflecting the scene! Let s make it a great last show tonight - VIVA MEXICO!"

Meanwhile, drummer Vaaver has recapped the band's Mexican road trip with a short tour report:

"Bored at home? Book your trip with Destruction To Mexico!

Meet concert promoters that carry guns, get robbed by one of them, get pulled over twice by the police that want your money, spend your day off in Ciudad de Juarez, the most dangerous city in the world, learn to swear in Spanish, find out that some 5-star hotels have no toilets in the lobby, cross the most watched border between Juarez and ElPaso, US. We will fly you 15 times in 7 days, jetlag you after one hour of sleep, make you exercise for 1.5h every night at the 6,000ft altitude.

You will also learn that what you thought was '30 minutes' is just 10 minutes there.

Moreover, you will get to play seven sold out shows, meet interesting people, taste delicious food, be around great friends, admire the beautiful landscape, have countless margharitas and bring home unforgettable memories!!

So book your trip with Destruction NOW! (Thanks everyone :-) )"

Destruction’s longtime drummer, Vaaver, will not be able to complete the upcoming North American tour with Sepultura and Arsis due to the birth of his second child. Standing in for Vaaver will be Randy Black (DuskMachine, ex-Primal Fear).

Destruction frontman, Schmier, states: “I've known Randy for many years. He’s a down to earth guy and a killer drummer! So when we thought about who could replace Vaaver on this North American tour, only a few drummers came to my mind and Randy was our first choice. Who else could do a stand-in job like this with a great attitude and amazing skills! It will be a great experience for us to play with such a powerhouse drummer and I’m sure Destruction fans will appreciate his performance as well!"

Vaaver states: “I am going to be a father for the second time in my life and it's going to happen in June of 2015. I therefore have to apologize to all our fans for not being able to participate in the 2015 spring North American tour. I am convinced that Randy, an amazing drummer, a truly experienced thrasher, and a good friend of ours, will smoothly take over my drum throne for that period and will set the stage on fire.”

Randy Black adds: "I take this as a very cool challenge and an honour to step in on drums for Vaaver to help the guys out and be a part of this great tour! I can assure the Destruction fans that I’m working my ass off getting the drum parts tight and brutal!"

Vaaver will be performing with the band all shows until the Mexico tour that takes place immediately before the North American dates.
