November 26, 2014, 9 years ago
Canadian vocalist/guitarist/producer Devin Townsend recently too part in HMV.com's My Record Collection Q&A.; He offers some insight into the artists that inspire him, the albums he loves, and his confusion over one particular artist's popularity. An excerpt:
Q: The first record I ever bought with my own money was…
A: "The soundtrack to Star Wars, on Vinyl. I loved the interplay between heroic and sinister. To this day I'm influenced by soundtracks as many veer into avant-garde territory without the audience being offended."
