DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT Drummer RYAN VAN POEDEROOYEN Posts "Higher" Drum Cam Footage From Dallas Show

Devin Townsend Project drummer Ryan van Poederooyen has checked in with the following update for the fans:
"So here is the first live drumcam from the brand new DTP album Transcendence, which was released in September 2016. The song used for this drumcam is called 'Higher'. It was easily the most voted song by you guys out of the three choices I gave you. Thanks for sharing your feedback on what you wanted to see. As for the song, it starts mellow but gets pretty intense in the middle and epic near the end of the song. It's a fun song to play live!
I took this footage with my Zoom Q8 camera/recorder from our packed Dallas, Texas concert, during our North American co-headlining tour with Between The Buried And Me. This also happens to be the first drum cam I've done with my brand new Sonor Drums Prolite Kit. I started endorsing Sonor this year. I absolutely love those drums and they sounded amazing all tour long. It's an honour to endorse such a classy and professional company who builds the best drums in the world, in my opinion! Thank you, Sonor!
Lastly, thanks for the ongoing support from all you people who support what we do in the DTP and outside of it. I'm very grateful to have you guys along for the ride. Hope you enjoy this drum cam and stay posted for more to come."
The Devin Townsend Project released their new album, Transcendence, last month. They have released an epic new video for track “Stormbending” which can be seen at this location.
Devin had this to say: “‘Stormbending’ was a song that meant a lot to me while writing and when asked to do a video, I really pushed for it. I think the idea of it was based around turning the tide of your own perspectives on things. It's very easy to get caught up in the negativity and fear that kind of pervades most things lately, and finding ways to fight that away and keep a strong outlook on your own life can be challenging. It's really easy to give in to it all as opposed to consciously working to better your situation. The video was done by a team of fantastic people in Serbia, and although it's a challenge to be included in ones own videos, we decided to do one that was more performance based and I think it turned out really quite well. Thanks to everyone involved for making this happen and thanks to you for listening and supporting if you do :)”
