ELUVEITIE Announce Belgium Show Upgrade; Second Origins Headline Tour Announced For Europe

Swiss folk-metal pioneers Eluveitie have announced that their Belgium show on November 9th has been moved to a bigger venue since the initially booked Biebob (Vosselaar) has been sold out. The show will now take place at Trix in Antwerp.

After the incredible demand for the first part of the band's European Origins tour (several shows have sold out weeks in advance), the eight-piece around singer and mastermind Chrigel Glanzmann has decided to announce a second leg for the tour already.

With the new lineup complete (guitarist Rafael Salzmann replaced Simeon "Sime" Koch in 2012, and Nicole Ansperger joined just months ago after Meri Tadic's departure), Eluveitie has made history this year as the very first metal band ever to receive a prestigious Swiss Music Award - the Swiss Grammy, so to speak. The band was honoured as "Best Live Act, National" by audience vote.

Immediately after accepting this award, Eluveitie returned to the Swiss New Sound Studio to record their sixth studio album Origins, again with legendary producer (and friend of the band) Tommy Vetterli (Kreator, Coroner, etc.).

Eluveitie have been riding from success to success throughout the band's 12-year history. However, with their new album Origins, the most successful band of its genre is setting new standards for itself. Origins entered the Swiss album charts on #2 and has remained in the top ten for weeks, while entering in Germany at #6 and scoring in many other countries as well, amongst others the US, France, Belgium, Austria, etc.).

Anyone who's seen Eluveitie live recently has witnessed that the folk metal horde has once again taken things a step further, joining the small elite of metal acts that can put on a show that will make the fans dream of the next gig already on their way home. So, secure your tickets in time and celebrate the show of the year together with Eluveitie!
