EMPYRIA Announce First Show Since Guitarist Mike Kischnick' Stroke

Vancouver-based progressive metallers EMPYRIA have announced their first show since guitars/synth-man Mike Kischnick suffered a major hemmorage on his brain stem called a Cavernoma on July 17th, 2010. On July 8th, the band plays Flashbacks in Kelowna BC.

The track is pulled off the band's latest album, The Long Road Home, out now via Nightmare Records.

The Long Road Home features 11 tracks with new drummer Scott Gamble, Mike Kischnick (guitars/synth - also in THOR), Phil Leite and the reuniting of original bassist/vocalist Paul Falcon.

According to a press release, "The Long Road Home is a musical journey reflecting their earlier prog influences in the bands melodic progression and distinct sound, opening the door to a wider audience and always staying true to themselves musically."
