November 19, 2015, 8 years ago
BraveWords is debuting the vicious new song called “Hide” from Houston-based black thrashers Epic Death. The band will be releasing their new album entitled Witchcraft on December 11th. The album was produced, engineered and mixed by Stephen Bogle (formerly of acclaimed industrial act The Hunger), and are set to crush and conquer in 2015/2016 – once again confirming the phrase “things are bigger in Texas” with their own brand of colossal, uncompromising metal.
Says the band: "It’s about the pain of an unhappy life filled with regret and the only thing you want to do is hide from the pain by finding a safe place by yourself, unfortunately, no matter where you hide time will find you.”
According to a press release, “Epic Death weave a tapestry of sinister sonic atmospheres, bringing together the imagery, theatricality and brute force of classic black metal, thrash and technical death metal with eerie soundscapes, apocalyptic lyrics and haunting melodies, drawing influence from such iconic bands as Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Death, Cradle of Filth and Behemoth, while simultaneously exploring dark new horizons in extreme music.“
