EPICA - Behind-The-Scenes Footage From Karmaflow Rock Opera Video Game Recording Sessions Posted

Back in August 2013 it was announced that Cradle Of Filth singer Dani Filth, Epica's Mark Jansen and Simone Simons, DragonForce's Marc Hudson, Amaranthe's Elize Ryd, Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz, Sonata Arctica's Tony Kakko, and Henning Basse (Metalium, Firewind) were some of the artists taking part in the world's first ever rock-opera video game.

Epica's Simone Simons, Mark Jansen and Coen Janssen recently recorded their parts for Karmaflow. A behind-the-scenes video clip is available below:

The musical score for Karmaflow is performed by the Metropole Orkest (the world's biggest professional pop and jazz orchestra) and band members of Epica, Textures and Within Temptation.

Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Videogame has several storylines, but what makes this game unique is the fact that the player determines the course of the game as well as the rock opera by the choices he makes. The music of the rock opera can be heard throughout the whole game — even while playing it. The music reacts to the playing style of the gamer. Making choices is thus very important for the course of the game and the music, which — just like in the real world — revolves around opposites (men versus nature, opposite religions, rich versus poor, et cetera) and balance. The developers and the composer are looking for a good balance as well, namely between the various fusing elements in Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Videogame (videogame, music, performances, live shows, interactivity).
