Estranged BLACK SABBATH Drummer BILL WARD Announces West Coast Premiere Of Fine Art Exhibition Absence Of Corners | Rhythm On Canvas

Fathom will present the exclusive West Coast premiere of Bill Ward’s fine art collection, Absence of Corners | Rhythm On Canvas.

On August 15th, Ward will present two discussions on his artwork, the first at 2 PM and the second at 5 PM. The artist talks are free to the public, however attendance to each discussion is available on a first-come basis. Registration is required.

RSVP with the form at the above link, or contact the gallery directly via rsvp@fathom.gallery or call 213.221.4545.

In addition to the free artist talk, Fathom presents a private artist reception for collectors of Bill Ward’s art. This is a true once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a living legend in an informal relaxed environment. Starting at 8 PM on the 15th, the private reception is open to people who have previously purchased Ward’s art, or those who buy art here or at one of the free lectures earlier in the day.

Please know that there is limited availability of the artwork and we cannot guarantee that any particular image will still be available on the 15th.

If you are interested in purchasing artwork and attending the private reception, and would like more information, please call the gallery.

The video below features an unedited track-by-track discussion of Bill Ward's Accountable Beasts album. The interview was conducted by Mike Stark for LA Radio Sessions on June 13th.

During the interview, Stark comments on Bill Ward’s “new energy”. Bill explains: “I think it’s just everything going on, you know, we’ve kept it a secret - it keeps leaking a little bit, but you know I have a new rock trio as well. And so, we can’t officially say anything about it but after this interview I’m on my way to rehearse with them. We’re in the studio starting Monday (June 15th) recording a brand new album with the rock trio, besides BWB (Bill Ward Band). So, yours truly, I was kicking ass… I played drums for eight hours yesterday. I mean seriously, I’m getting down and just fucking playing.”

Ward has released his first solo album in 18 years called Accountable Beasts, on iTunes. The CD features Ward's drumming on seven of the album's nine tracks, as well as contributions from his longtime collaborators Keith Lynch (guitar, keyboards), Paul Ill (bass) and Ronnie Ciago (drums), along with drummer Walter Earl and an array of session singers, including Ward's daughter Emily.

Accountable Beasts features the following tracks:

“Leaf Killers”
“Accountable Beasts”
“Katastrophic World”
“D.O.T.H.”
‘First Day Back”
“As It Is In Heaven”
“Ashes”
“Straws”
“The Wall Of Death”
