EVIL INVADERS – Bassist Leaves Band Due To “Personal Reasons”

Belgium thrashers Evil Invaders have announced the departure of bassist Nico.

The band posted the following message: “Unfortunately Nico (our bassist) decided to leave the band because of personal reasons as he basically just wants to do other things with his life. Nico is obviously still a part of the Invaders family and he always will be. We can't thank him enough for all the great and the shitty times we shared during this previous year. He was also the first one to help us out with finding a replacement, so everything is really cool. He took the decision to take a different direction in his life and we can't do anything but accept it. Upcoming weekend Nico will still do the VHS release weekend so everyone can still come down to the shows and cuddle haha. We already have a new bassist, but we'll let you know more about it soon. And no no worries: the new bassist is ‘Nico-approved’!”

Nico states: “Hi everyone, I have the regret to announce that I'm leaving the band as of next week. I will be playing my last two remaining concerts with the boys this week-end for our VHS release party. Let me say that there is no hard feelings in this matter whatesoever, we all remain good friends. Nor did I get a job in another super big band haha, only that the time has come for me to move on and be focused on other priorities. From all around Europe to Japan, these passed 12 months have been the most exciting of my life ever ! I can never thank Senne, Joe and Sam enough for the amazing experience they have given me. As much as I can't thank enough everybody who has supported me throughout this year, giving me the opportunity to make new friends and discover tons of things. Come say me goodbye this weekend at the Blue Jeans Café and Pandafest ! Again, MANY THANKS TO YOU ALL!”

Evil Invaders will release their new studio album, Pulses Of Pleasure, on March 2nd in the UK and March 10th in North America via Napalm Records as a regular CD and limited LP gatefold edition. Check out the band's new video for the album track "Fast, Loud 'n' Rude" below.
