FIREWIND’s official website (www.firewind.gr) reports that guitarist Gus G. has been voted 3rd Best Guitarist of 2003 in Japan’s Burrn! magazine, as well as 8th Best Guitarist in Young Guitar.
Young Guitar also voted Firewind 6th Best Band Gus’ work on the track ‘I Am The Anger’ as 5th Best Solo. Gus was also voted Best Greek Musician at www.goldenrules.tk
In other Firewind news, the band’s new keyboardist, Bob Kotsionis, has landed a solo deal in Japan with EMI Records.
Firewind have also decided to cancel select shows that were planned in some European countries, in order to concentrate on the writing of their forthcoming third album. More updates will appear soon.
As previously reported, Firewind recently announced that Chity Somapala, formerly of AVALON/FARO, is their new lead singer for their upcoming tours and next CD.
