FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH And PAPA ROACH On Demand In Canada; Vote To See Bands In Your City
April 20, 2016, 8 years ago
With 10 #1 singles and over 25 Top 10 singles between them, millions of video streams and fans all over the globe Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach have been dominating the airwaves throughout their long careers. The two bands – who have also been heralded by fans and press alike as having killer live shows – now will give Canadian fans their wish of a cross-country tour next.
5FDP + Papa Roach have already partnered for 40 shows across the USA and EU in 2015 to rave reviews and winning the prestigious “Arena Tour Of The Year” award at the Live Entertainment Awards in Germany. Fans from Canada were disappointed when their country was left out of the touring schedule last year so the bands have opened their schedules to co-headline and perform together in Canada for the first time in 3 years.
Five Finger Death Punch and Papa Roach will involve their fans by giving them the opportunity to vote for their cities via a “Fan Demand Campaign” housed here and here.
Says Zoltan Bathory (guitar) of Five Finger Death Punch: “In the world of Wikipedia and Kickstarter where crowdfunding and crowd sourcing has become the standard of community effort, we decided to run a demand campaign last year where the fans could vote for the cities they wanted to see us play.
“The campaign turned out to be a huge success worldwide as millions of votes shaped the routing. We were playing in front of enormous crowds and the tour ended up winning an Arena Tour Of The Year award in Europe. It just made sense that we continue this ‘inclusive’ approach to touring. The fans loved it... we loved it… everyone wins.”
Adds Papa Roach vocalist, Jacoby Shaddix: "We are super excited to be sharing the stage as co-headliner with FFDP again. This will give Papa Roach the chance to put on the best, most epic live show ever in Canada. Our fans are going to be so stoked for these shows coming up. We seriously can't wait to get back to the Great White North."
