Due out before the end of the year is For The Record: The Complete DIO Vinyl Collection, featuring 16 Dio LP's all on 180 gram vinyl, each LP on different color vinyl with a deluxe book and 16 different tour laminates all in a deluxe album carrying case.

Ronnie James Dio’s wife/manager Wendy Dio comments: "We hope to have this very special item out for Christmas! Ronnie came up with the title!"

In other news, the first release from the Niji Entertainment Group will be Super Rock Japan: Live 1985 on August 31st from Dio on both DVD and CD.

According to a Dio update, "Wendy and Ronnie just watched the show today for the first time in 25 years and they LOVED it! It brought a HUGE smile to both of their faces! There will be a special Fan Pack with both the DVD and CD too!"

Earlier today (Sunday, May 16th) the metal world was subjected to the latest bout of shit disturbing, with rumours flying around that Dio had lost his battle with cancer. Wendy Dio crushed said nonsense with the following message via Ronnie James Dio's official Twitter account at 3:45am EST:

"Don't believe the rumors, Ronnie is still hanging in there!!! Hugs, Wendy Dio."

Heaven& Hell recently announced the cancellation of all planned appearances this summer in the UK and Europe via the following statement:

"We have to announce that all forthcoming Heaven & Hell European shows have been cancelled as sadly Ronnie isn’t well enough to tour this summer. We hope that everyone understands and want to thank fans and industry colleagues for their continuing support at this time.”

Vocalist Ronnie James Dio has since issued the following statement:

"I would like to voice my great disappointment on the cancellation of the Heaven & Hell summer tour. Wendy (wife / manager), my doctors and I have worked so hard to make it happen for all of you, the ones we care so much about, that this setback could be devastating, but we will not let it be. With your continued love and support, we will carry on and thrive. There will be other tours, more music, more life and much more magic."
