The Portuguese progressive metal band FORGOTTEN SUNS has just set the release date for their upcoming EP Revelations on December 17th via Pathfinder Records.

According to a press release, Revelations is an EP that has turned out to become the home for some lighter tracks taken from the Lisboa-based band's Innergy writing sessions back in the period between late 2006 and early 2007. This record is a collection of songs that were included on some live sets but never made their way towards a mixing desk for an official release with two exceptions: the in your face single 'Doppelgänger' released with Innergy (2009) now with a brand new mix and the fantastic neo-prog magical story of 'Betrayed' - an extra track from the band's debut Fiction Edge (2000) now with part I and II put together after so many years.

With 'Phenotype' Forgotten Suns navigate through the waters of easy listening prog-metal structures versus the symphonic power ballad and high emotional tension of Pinpoints. The seven string acoustic darkness of 'The Hill' completes the track list of Revelations with a overall dense cohesion, true balance and some of their best playing ever. The band is preparing a new full lenght album and meanwhile 'Revelations' is without a doubt a must have for any Forgotten Suns' follower as well as the evidence of the band's eclectics and mastery.

The band is revealing now for the very first time the cover artwork for Revelations with the complete tracklisting :
