According to Germany's Rock Hard Magazine, editor-in-chief Götz Kühnemund has decided to leave the publication after 24 years in the trenches. It is an amicable split based on differences of opinion with regards to the magazine's direction.

Kühnemeund has been one of the driving forces behind Rock Hard, and has become the most recognized member of the team amongst fans, bands and fellow press people. The mag itself - still a big monthly seller in Europe - was one of the inspirations for the creation and format of the original BW&BK; print magazine.

In the coming months, Rock Hard's Andreas Himmelstein and Frank Albrecht are due to leave for "economical reasons."
