Shaun Callaghan is back with more deliciously satirical metal fun, releasing Metalized Commercial Classics, an independent micro-album of insane metal covers of the ‘80s and ‘90s jingles you remember from between your Saturday morning cartoons.
You may recognize Shaun as That Guy you know, the one who got wasted and insisted on sweetly serenading his feline friend with a blistering rendition of his band’s single? After bandmates found the home video, Shaun's antics went viral in 2012, cropping up everywhere from The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and every Facebook feed near you.
Shaun is back and putting a metal spin on all of your childhood nostalgia. Recorded in his bedroom and mastered absolutely nowhere, this 4 song collection takes on your favorite classic jingles with hilarious metal style. Nicole Marie (Orchids, Doom Lover) joins Shaun to bring in the feminine touch to a slamming rendition of "My Buddy/Kid Sister" and offering backing vocals on the rest of the tracks. Other tracks include: "Juicy Fruit", "Connect Four", and the won't-leave-your-mind "Skip-it".
