As reported on May 8th, saxophonist John ‘Irish’ Earle has passed away - he was 64. A personal friend of the legendary Phil Lynott, John graced THIN LIZZY’s Live And Dangerous album (on the track 'Dancing In The Moonlight'). Fan-site Thin-lizzy.info has received the following statement from former Thin Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson (ex-MOTÖRHEAD):

"Rest In Peace John. Thanks for everything; the tours and gigs we did together and all the great moments backstage and at the hotels over the years. It was a privilege to have had the fortune to meet you and play with you with Thin Lizzy, GRAHAM PARKER & THE RUMOUR and finally at The Vibe in Dublin."
