Germany's DrumHeads recently caught up with HALESTORM drummer Arejay Hale. An excerpt is available below:

DH: what about your current Headliner-Tour? How was the audience in the UK?

Arejay: "They’re incredible, too! The press over there is wonderful to us. And the fans … we weren’t expecting that size of venue. The crowd was just singing along every word. That’s very cool. It’s very different to the American crowds. They are amazing, too, but in Europe the people react in another way to our music. Just another element. It’s pretty amazing that almost every show in Europe was sold out for this tour. Very exciting! We didn’t expect that, either. It’s our first time headlining here. And in the States we played the first headliner tour. In average we did the show for 30 people. But during that time we just had our first album. No one really knew us. But we got a great support. And we hope that this goes on."

DH: Your video for ‘I Miss The Misery’ was released on September 27th . How was the general reaction?

Arejay: "In Europe there was much more reaction to it. Unfortunately, in the States there are very, very few outlets for music videos. So, it’s great over here in the EU because there are still channels which actually play music videos. And they play rock videos, too! In the States there are also channels for music, but they play just pop and hip-hop. It’s so good to see that there are still channels which are interested in rock music, especially here in Europe. When we were in Cologne, we went out to a club. And we were expecting that techno music: 'Uz-uz–uz,' you know. But they played NIRVANA, EVERCLEAR and PEARL JAM. And the kids danced to it. That was cool.
