Japan’s Hard Rock Cafe Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Guitar Wars!

Guitarist Paul Gilbert’s (RACER X, ex-MR. BIG) website (www.paulgilbert.com), reports that Japan’s Hard Rock Cafe will celebrate their 20th Anniversary with two shows, entitled Guitar Wars, that will feature Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt (ex-EXTREME) and Steve Hackett (ex-GENESIS).
Says Gilbert, “At the end of this month I'm doing some shows in Japan with Nuno Bettencourt and Steve Hackett. It's called Guitar Wars but there will be no actual fighting, only music. Then in November, I'm playing the part of Jimmy Page in Mike Portnoy's LED ZEPPELIN tribute band, HAMMER OF THE GODS. I've been fishing as well. More news soon... Paul.”
The Guitar Wars dates are: August 29 - Akasaka Blitz - Tokyo and September 1 - Namba Hatch - Osaka.
