JOE SATRIANI To Appear On The Tonight Show

Look for Joe Satriani on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon next Tuesday, August 4th. He'll be playing some tracks off his new album, Shockwave Supernova, as well as some older favorites.
Until then, enjoy the video for the title track from Satch's newest masterpiece. This amazing clip, directed by Sky Shields, takes you on a journey through the cosmos and through the mind of Joe's alter ego, Shockwave Supernova.
BraveWords scribe Aaron Small recently spoke to Satriani about Shockwave Supernova; an excerpt follows in which Joe admitted: “I have noticed over the years, that the person at home working on an album for a couple of months is different than the guy that’s out there on stage every night. The guy out on stage will do things that the home guy doesn’t do, and the longer you stay out on tour, the more you become kind of like ‘the tour animal’.”

Satriani recently announced The Shockwave UK Tour, which will take in nine dates from November 1st. The tour promotes Joe’s upcoming new studio album , and will also be the first time since he last toured the UK with his Unstoppable Momentum album in 2013. Joe’s touring band will include Bryan Beller (bass), Mike Keneally (keyboards, guitars) and Marco Minnemann (drums).
