JON OLIVA'S PAIN featuring SAVATAGE frontman/founder Jon Oliva have issued the following message:
"We are so sad to learn of the recent passing of Sharon LaPorte, beloved mother to our late guitarist and brother Matthew LaPorte. She was such a sweet and gracious woman who always met us with a smile and enthusiasm. We were not aware of her long battle until just a few days ago...guess she never wanted any of us to worry. It was always such a treat to see her at our shows. God bless you Sharon; time for you and Matthew to catch up and enjoy each other once again! Rest in Peace. Our deepest condolences to the entire LaPorte family.
Sincerely, Jon Oliva, Christopher Kinder and the entire JOP family!"
Oliva recently announced the dates for his upcoming Storytellers Tour. He has checked in with the following update:
"We set up a new Facebook page dedicated to nothing but this upcoming tour. All shows, ticket links, VIP packages and all other relevant information surrounding these shows will be updated daily. Thank you all for the amazing enthusiasm and support so far! Cheers! Like the new link and stay connected."

The album was released simply under the banner OLIVA and you can expect a mixture of Jon Oliva’s early influences and the material he wrote and recorded throughout his whole artistic career.
