Phyllis Pollack at Examiner.com caught up with legendary KISS frontman PAUL STANLEY on the red carpet at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party on February 10th. An excerpt from the story is available below:

In an interview on the red carpet, Stanley stated, "My book is about three-quarters done. It should be pretty terrific."

He noted, "I think there’s a lot to be said for self-empowerment for what you can accomplish, when you believe in yourself, and go against all the odds and adversity. So hopefully, it will be a book that is more than just a lot of smut, and a tell-all, or braggadocio," he said. How’s that for a word? "

What revelations will Stanley's fans find out about him as a person? He joked, "That I’m an exceptional guy. It’s a book that my kids will be able to read. Not right now, but it's a book that will show where I started and that the road really isn’t that easy."

Many recording artists have written books, revealing their personal problems, whether they are addiction issues or other problems. After getting into music, they find it isn't a cure-all for their issues.

"That’s true," said Stanley. "I think people seek fame and success to kind of fill a void in themselves. And once they become famous and successful, then they have to figure out what’s really the problem. And they either go with drugs or they find another way."

Stanley has been confirmed to appear on the popular nationally-syndicated radio program Nights With ALICE COOPER on Wednesday, February 13th and Thursday, February 21st. According to the producer of the show, Stanley’s interview was "so great" they decided to make it a two-part feature.
