KIX Frontman Steve Whiteman On HALESTORM Singer Lzzy Hale - "She Already Had All That Talent; I Just Pointed Her In The Right Direction"
December 2, 2012, 12 years ago
BW&BK; scribe Carl Begai recently spoke with KIX frontman Steve Whiteman about the band's comeback and their new CD/DVD, Live In Baltimore. During the conversation Whiteman commented on his role as vocal coach for HALESTORM frontwoman Lzzy Hale:
In a separate interview with Begai several months ago, Hale commented on Whiteman's influence on her career:
"He was my vocal coach for two years, when I was 17-18 years old,” Lzzy reveals, “and he’s still a great mentor of mine. I owe everything that I’m able to pull off every night to that man. He’s amazing. I recommend him to anyone. He introduced me to what I was born with, and taught me all that I could do with that gift.”Upon hearing this, Whiteman responded: "That's kind of overboard because she already had all that talent. I just pointed her in the right direction."
