KOBRA AND THE LOTUS vocalist Brittany "Kobra" Paige is featured in a new profile interview with Metal Divas. An excerpt is available below:

Metal Divas: In your opinion, what is the essence of music in general?

Kobra: "Music is there to evoke thoughts and emotions and strengthen us. Whether it is toward a place of happiness, inspiration, anger, sadness, or reminiscence, it opens and guides us to a place of feeling; a bigger 'inner' place, than we were in before hearing it. Music is the sound of our life and aspirations."

Metal Divas: What is the most memorable moment of your career so far?

Kobra: "Every part of this career has been memorable because it has taken so much hard work to achieve even one baby step forward. One of my most favorite moments was the first time we saw people singing our music right along with us at a show. It was the first time I really realized people were paying attention."

After a successful and extensive two-month North American tour, Kobra And The Lotus continue their quest to conquer the US with additional tour dates, with the Swedish/Danish modern metal sextet AMARANTHE, in support of their new self-titled album. This second leg kicked off in New York at The Gramercy Theatre on July 17th and includes dates in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Canada, Illinois, Minnesota, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona and Hollywood, California at The Roxy Theatre.

Spike TV’s Rock City will be joining the tour, chronicling life on the road with Kobra And The Lotus with camera crews that will follow and capture the grit, drama, and thrills, both on the road and off, as this emerging metal band takes to the road on their world tour. The eight episode season of Rock City will air this fall.
