L.O.S.T. has released a new song, “World War Cup”, a song that will be the original score for the short animated movie with the same title. The video was produced by Razvan Raduta (Oldboy Studio), and can be watched below:

Vlad Busca, the bass player of the band, declared: “’World War Cup’ is the first official single from the upcoming L.O.S.T. album that will be hopefully finalized at the end of 2016. I don’t know if this is a premiere for the local metal scene, but what I know for sure is that this is our first collaboration of this type with the movie industry. We were very surprised and definitely happy when we received the proposal from the producers to compose a song especially for this movie. We all discussed and analyzed the story and the script and tried to recreate the world of the two main characters, through music and lyrics.”

Mihai Mitrica, the producer of the movie, said about this project the following: “’World War Cup’ is a story about regrets and memories that cure. Two war veterans meet to watch a football game that their memories transform in an actual battle. With the regrets of having made an unforgivable mistake when they were young soldiers at duty, the two imagine a victory on the football field that cures their hearts. The short animation film directed by Sebastian Cosor will be released in December 2016 and will feature an original track by L.O.S.T., which powerfully recreates the atmosphere of the film through music.”

The track was recorded at Mentor Rock Studio (Costin Neamtu and Mihai Mugescu), Studio B (Cristian Iancu) and Taine Multimedia (Andy Ionescu). The mixing was made by Alin Petrut (Gothic), mastering by Luculescu Alin Gabriel while the artwork was signed by Andrei “Max” Korony.
