LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe is back in the Czech Republic, standing trial on manslaughter charges in the death of a fan, Daniel Nosek, at a Prague concert over two years ago. Nosek's parents are demanding compensation of 10 million Czech Koruna (approximately $530,000).

According to Blesk.cz, Blythe arrived for court about 15 minutes before the scheduled start time this morning (Monday, February 4th). Before court he did not speak with reporters, but remained in conversation only with his lawyer.

"And so it begins. I am calm and prepared. Everyone, thanks for your good thoughts and prayers", he wrote via Instagram.

In court, Blythe stated: "I kept my word. I said that I'd get to court today and I did. I do not shy away from responsibility. I'm not a person who runs away from problems. But I do not want to be punished for something I did not do."

Randy explained that normally fans are strictly forbidden from going on the stage. But here it was different. People climbed up and got between the band members.

"The death of a fan breaks my heart", said Blythe.

As previously reported, the court, which had three months to set a trial date, deemed there was enough evidence to proceed with the case, acting quickly after the Czech State Attorney officially filed manslaughter charges against the 41-year-old in early December.

Blythe was held in custody in the Czech Republic after being arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by Czech police at the Prague airport on Wednesday, June 27th. It is alleged that during a May 24th, 2010 Lamb Of God concert, Blythe pushed the 19-year-old fan, who had climbed onstage, back into the audience. The fan lapsed into a coma and died of a bleeding in the brain fourteen days later.
