Ahead of their show last night (May 17th) in Huntington, New York, Lamb Of God were presented with gold plaques commemorating the gold certification of their third album, Ashes Of The Wake.
Ashes Of The Wake, released via Epic in 2004, was certified gold in February by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for sales exceeding 500,000 copies. A Dual Disc 5.1 edition of the album was released in 2005.
A photo of the band with their gold plaques, shot by Scott Sommer, can be seen below.
It's an extra special edition of Lock Horns this week as Banger welcomes Chris Adler, drummer and co-founder of Lamb Of God, to the Banger Bar studio for a live, in-depth conversation about the state of metal.
Tune in tomorrow, Thursday, May 19th, at a special time of 5:30 PM, EST for the live stream of Lock Horns: Chris Adler Interview.
"I’m super stoked that Chris Adler from Lamb Of God will be joining me in the Banger Bar this week for Lock Horns," says host Sam Dunn. "Not only am I a massive fan of LoG and have deep respect for everything they’ve accomplished, but I know Chris to be one of the brightest guys in metal and I’m proud that he is an ambassador of our music. Additionally, having Chris on Lock Horns is one step closer to fulfilling our vision of making this show the marquee metal talk show worldwide. Now, pardon me while I wrap this up and fuckin’ crank 'Erase This.' Let’s do this!"
Sam and Chris will discuss various topics such as the success of Lamb Of God and the state and future of heavy metal as a whole. Is Lamb Of God the next Metallica? What would that even mean? What are his future plans with Megadeth? As with with every episode of their weekly metal talk show, they invite fans from around the world to be part of the conversation in real time: submit your questions for Chris in the YouTube chat and they’ll get to as many of them as they can.
