The Arizona death/grind quintet LANDMINE MARATHON are taking a break from writing their Prosthetic Records debut to hit the road for a brief tour, which kicks off tonight (April 10) in Chicago. From there, the band will continue heading east until they reach the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival next weekend.

"It has been more than two years since the band visited anywhere east of Arizona, so to say the least, this trip is long overdue," says bassist Matt Martinez. "We are looking forward to headbanging with friends old and new, and we will be testing out some new material in preparation for our next full-length that we will be recording this summer. Grace will be dishing the scoop daily on her Revolver Magazine blog, giving all the gory and nonsensical details. And what better way to end this trip than NEMHF!"

Following their Metalfest appearance, the band will perform at the Los Angeles Murderfest in early May. From there, the band will commence recording their as-yet-untitled Prosthetic debut in June. An early 2010 release is expected.
