Later this month, Led Zeppelin will continue their reissue series with deluxe, remastered editions of their 1971 album Led Zeppelin IV and its 1973 follow-up, Houses Of The Holy.

Each reissue contains a second disc featuring an album's worth of alternate mixes and in-progress versions of songs, and Led Zeppelin IV includes a different version of each track on the original album. One of the standouts is an alternate mix of the album's second song, the rollicking "Rock And Roll," which features a different blend of guitars and is streaming now at RolllingStone.com.

The second round of Led Zeppelin reissues, due in Europe on October 27th and in North America on October 28th, begins with one of the most artistically influential and commercially successful albums in the history of music, Led Zeppelin IV, and continues with 1973's chart-topping Houses Of The Holy.

 

 

As with the previous Deluxe Editions, both albums have been newly remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page and are accompanied by a second disc of companion audio comprised entirely of unreleased music related to that album.
