According to XFM, some of the biggest names in British music have put their names to a letter to David Cameron asking the Government to do more to stop illegal downloading....

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend from THE WHO, former LED ZEPPELIN frontman Robert Plant and Brian May from QUEEN are among those who have signed the letter.

They are claiming that the UK economy could be boosted by stronger copyright laws, protecting the music industry.

They want the Digital Economy Act 2010 implemented - which would mean internet service providers, search engins and online advertisers have to protect users from illegal sites.

Over in New Zealand - where they've started giving £8,000 fines to people caught doing it three times the number of illegal downloads has reportedly halved.
