MARTIN POPOFF Reveals His Top 10 Hair Metal Bands Of All Time

Jimmy Kay, host of Canada’s The Metal Voice recently spoke to highly respected heavy metal author and BraveWords senior writer Martin Popoff (pictured above with Hanoi Rocks vocalist Michael Monroe) about his new book, The Big Book Of Hair Metal.
During their chat, Popoff talks about the origins and evolution of hair metal and even goes into his Top 10 Hair Metal Bands Of All Time. “When MTV really got going, hair metal was one of the big participators in all of that. Heavy metal has always been this dark bastard child but it really did become mainstream with MTV with the likes of Ratt, Twisted Sister and Quiet Riot and even bands that weren’t hair metal but were somehow participating in it now. Big Example being KISS, even the likes of Cheap Trick and ZZ Top." Enjoy the interview below:
