Legendary keyboardist Mats Olausson (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, Ark) has been found dead in a hotel room in Rayong, Thailand.
Bangkok Post’s Jumpol Nikomrak reports: A 54-year-old Swedish man was found dead inside a hotel room in downtown Rayong on Thursday afternoon, police said. The body of the tourist was found on the floor, with his chin resting on the bed in his room at a Rayong hotel in tambon Tha Pradu, said Pol Lt Thawat Norseeha, a deputy officer at Muang police station. He said it was reported about 3 PM.
The man's passport identified him as Mats Johan Olausson, 54, from Sweden. The tourist wore only shorts and there were seven empty bottles of whisky and several empty cans of beer in the room.
